Pacificonnect originated out of the lack of affordable and flexible logistic services available to sending bulk food packages to Tonga. Motivated by this gap in services to Tonga, Foketi Freight was established to offer Tongans a freight forwarding service provided by Tongans - with the unique ability to communicate in Tongan, the advantage of understanding the Tongan culture and using that knowledge to create flexibility in delivering a large variety of personal effects to Tongan customers and their families.
Over the years, Foketi Freight recognised that the hole did not only exist between Australia and Tonga but between Australia and all the Pacific Islands. With the growing interest and demand from other Pacific Islanders, Foketi Freight Express expanded in 2003 to service all the Pacific Islands and became incorporated to Pacificonnect Pty Ltd. in 2007.
Since, Pacificonnect has expanded its freight services to include sea and air freight, money transfer, storage services and packaging options e.g. drums and wooden boxes.
